Landlord safety check
An EICR checks whether your property's wiring and electrics are safe. It's also known as the 'Landlord Safety Test' and is always carried out by a qualified electrician.
As of 1st June 2020, private landlords are now legally required to have an EICR at least every five years. If you start a new tenancy on or after 1st July 2020, you'll need to make sure the inspection and testing is carried out before your new tenants move in. For existing tenancies, 1st April 2021 was the deadline for completion.
We can help keep your property and tenants safe.
Book an EICR with one of our qualified engineers and we'll provide:
- A safety inspection, which covers all accessible mains connected wiring and fixtures in the fuse box
- A condition report, with details of the inspection and any work which needs to be carried out
- Remedial works within 28 days of the inspection and final EICR certificate
How much does an EICR cost?
An EICR cost depends on a variety of factors including, size of the property and if there is electric heating. An EICR can cost from £120.
